India-China dispute: violent face-off
Three Indian soldiers were martyred in a
“violent face-off” with Chinese forces on Monday night, the calsh happened in
Galwan vally in Ladakh , disputed area in the Kashmir region. According to Source
20 Indian soldiers were martyred and more than 20 Chinese soldiers were killed.
Anurag Srivastava, Spokesperson for the
Ministry of External Affairs said, “On the late-evening and night of 15th June,
2020 a violent face-off happened as a result of an attempt by the Chinese side
to unilaterally change the status quo there. Both sides suffered casualties
that could have been avoided had the agreement at the higher level been
scrupulously followed by the Chinese side.”
Meanwhile China accused India troops of
crossing the border twise ,”provoking and attacking Chinese personnel. This resulted
in a serious physical clash”
The Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said “I am not aware of
the information you provided. Recently to ease the situation on the India,
China border, the two countries have been in close communication through
military and diplomatic channels on June 6,”
